  • 3 min read

We've gathered the questions clients ask most often before starting with My Personal Trainer Malta — covering pricing, location, online coaching, beginners, nutrition, certifications, and what makes us different.

How much does a personal trainer cost in Malta?

Pricing depends on the format — single 1:1 sessions, multi-session packages, nutrition coaching, or online programmes. Because no two clients have the same goals or schedule, we quote after a free initial consultation. Contact us with your goal and we'll send a personalised quote within 24 hours.

Where are you located?

Tal-Qroqq Sports Complex, Triq Maria Teresa Spinelli, Il-Gżira GZR 1711 — on the Msida/Gzira border, easily reached from Sliema, St. Julian's, Msida, and Valletta.

Do you offer online coaching?

Yes. We coach Maltese clients living abroad and anyone outside the Gzira area through online programmes with a custom training app, weekly video check-ins, and unlimited messaging support.

Do you train beginners?

Beginners are our specialty. Marvic was 145 kg before he became a coach; Miriam overcame obesity herself. We work with every fitness level, age, body type, and ability.

What languages do you speak?

English and Maltese fluently; Italian understood. Sessions and plans in either language as preferred.

Are you certified and insured?

Miriam Saliba is a state-registered dietitian in Malta. Marvic Debono is a certified personal trainer. Both hold professional indemnity insurance.

How long is a personal training session?

Standard 1:1 sessions are 60 minutes. Express 30-minute sessions are available for tight schedules. Nutrition consultations are typically 45-60 minutes.

What should I bring to my first session?

Workout clothes, indoor trainers, a water bottle, and a towel. The free initial consultation covers assessments and goal-setting before any paid session.

Do you provide meal plans?

Yes. Miriam, as a state-registered dietitian, designs Mediterranean-style meal plans tailored to your goal, food preferences, allergies, schedule, and budget.

Can you help with weight loss?

Yes — it's our most-requested goal. We combine progressive strength training, sustainable Mediterranean nutrition, and behaviour-change coaching.

Can you help me build muscle?

Yes. Programmes built on progressive overload, periodised training, and protein-led nutrition.

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice can be rescheduled at no charge. Late cancellations may be charged at full rate.

Do I need to be a member of Tal-Qroqq?

No. Access for sessions is arranged through us. For solo use of the facility outside sessions, you can take out an independent membership.

What hours are you available?

Mon-Fri 06:00-21:00, Saturday 08:00-14:00. Sunday closed. Online clients can self-schedule check-ins outside these hours.

Do you offer group or partner training?

Yes — duo and small-group training (up to 4 people) at reduced per-person rates.

What's a typical first month like?

Week 1: free consultation, full assessment, goal setting. Weeks 2-4: foundational training and nutrition habits. Monthly review of progress.

Do you work with athletes?

Yes — strength and conditioning for amateur and semi-pro athletes across most sports.

How quickly will I see results?

Most clients report better energy and mood within 2 weeks. Visible body-composition change typically begins by week 6-8.

What makes My Personal Trainer Malta different?

Two complementary specialisms (PT + registered dietitian) under one roof; coaches who personally transformed their own health; inclusive of every size, ability and language; evidence-based; no fad diets.
